Unlocking Critical Thinking for Future leaders

I work with students and professionals who want to deepen their understanding of politics and economics — whether for exams or for real-world decision-making.

With 15 years of professional experience my approach goes beyond traditional tutoring: I help you develop the analytical thinking skills required to excel both academically and professionally.

Whether you're preparing for university admissions or advancing in your career as a policy professional I provide personalised mentorship, supervision and tutoring rooted in academic rigor and real-world application.

Tutoring

20 years of experience

With nearly twenty years of tutoring experience, I’ve had the privilege of helping over a hundred students achieve their academic goals. My passion lies in supporting young people to grow — not just as students, but as confident learners who can take charge of their own education.

I take a highly personalized approach to tutoring, tailoring each session to the individual learning style of the student. I work closely with both students and parents to set clear, achievable goals and regularly review progress along the way. My role goes beyond that of a traditional tutor — I act as a mentor, providing not only subject knowledge but also valuable insights into navigating educational systems and developing strong study habits. As a former examiner, I also help students hone their exam technique, preparing them for success in high-pressure situations.

I specialize in tutoring students from primary school to university level, with a focus on:

  • Economics, Politics and Mathematics

  • Selective School Entry (11+ and 13+)

  • University Applications

The most rewarding part of my work is seeing students gain the confidence to ask their own questions and develop their own ideas. Many of my students stay with me for extended periods, and I’m often asked to tutor siblings as well. As someone who took an unconventional path to higher education, I especially enjoy working with students who feel let down by traditional systems, helping them find their own way to success.

“[Promit] was the personal tutor to both my sons for GSCE and A Level Economics and Maths, and he also tutored my youngest son during his first year at University.[...] As evidenced in Promit’s academic achievements, Promit possess high IQ but he also possess high emotional intelligence. I saw this first hand when he was tutoring my sons – Promit has a natural ability to take complex topics and explain this in simple terms. Whenever my sons were struggling with a particular subject or topic, he would adopt a coaching approach and ask questions to help them understand. Promit is one of the most dedicated, hardworking, honest and courteous people I’ve had the pleasure of knowing.
